Gorge Charcuterie Boards
These Gorge(ous) (see what we did there) Charcuterie Boards closely resemble our Signature Switchback boards, however these are made with Rainbow Poplar wood. Every piece of rainbow poplar can vary and be filled with different shades of yellow, brown, purple, red, black, and green. The colors appear as a result of yellow poplar wood becoming mineral stained when the minerals in the ground seep into the tree’s roots. These are named after the Lehigh Gorge and the beautiful views that it offers, especially during fall with all of the colors when the leaves change, just like all of the color variations in a Rainbow Poplar board!
Simple, yet elegant like our Signature Switchback boards, they are the perfect serving tray for any occasion. The attached handles make it easy to transport your favorite snack to your guests in style! It includes Black Handles, but if you wish to swap them out for something else, please make sure you order 3” on center handles.
About Rainbow Poplar
While not its own species, Rainbow Poplar refers to Yellow Poplar that has been mineral stained resulting in streaks of green, purple, red, black, and more! Poplar, while not a hardwood, is on the harder side of softwoods. While it is durable, we do not recommend cutting on it as it won’t hold up as well as our hardwoods like walnut, maple, and cherry. However, these are great for serving meats and cheeses. We do recommend applying board butter after every 4-5 uses to keep it sealed. You can check out more on our Board Care Page.
