BOARDS THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME

  • Wash It.

Always hand wash with a mild dish detergent and dry immediately after with a cloth. Never soak or put in the dishwater.

  • Apply Board Butter.

Reapply the board butter any time you feel like your board is getting dry. We recommend adding a light coat after every 5-6 uses or at least once a month. You’d be surprised at the difference this makes!

  • Get Rid of Smells.

If you notice any smells like from an onion or cutting meat, simply use vinegar or lemon juice and then wash with a mild dish detergent. We recommend applying board butter after this process.

  • Store it.

Store laying flat in a dark, dry space (such as a kitchen cabinet). It’s okay to display on counters or hung on the wall inside. Avoid leaving the board out in high humidity or exposing it directly to the sun for long periods of time. This can cause the board to warp, cup, and lose color.

  • Keep it Steady.

Always store in a controlled environment. Avoid temperature swings if possible as this can affect the board as well.

  • Keep it Cool.

Do not use in the microwave and try to not set really hot items on the board as this can cause separation from the glue being heated up and warping as well. Don’t use as a hot plate!
