Build Your Own Board

Introducing our brand new product, Build Your Own Board. This charcuterie board kit is an interactive box that allows you to finish your very own charcuterie board without the use of any power tools; just one screwdriver. It's great for family nights, work parties, get togethers, or just presents for your significant other or parent!

What does the kit include?

  • Your board has been locally sourced and hand selected by us. Since it was purchased as rough sawn, it was then squared up and planed to ensure a smooth and flat surface. Then, the boards are glued up, clamped, and planed again. Finally it is sanded to 80 Grit and then routed with a chamfer bit for a classic look. We take pride in inspecting each and every board to ensure that you will be happy with your purchase!

  • You’ll get a pair of handles (matte black, stainless, or gold) along with four appropriately size bolts to attach to your board using the pre-drilled holes.

  • You will receive four small rubber feet to attach to the back of the board to prevent it from moving or damaging your counter top.

  • You will get 2 small squares of each 100 & 220 Grit Sandpaper to use in your kit. You’ll start with the 100 Grit and then “water pop” or “raise the grain” and then sand again at 220 Grit to give that smooth finish.

  • Our homemade board butter is a mix of Carnauba Wax, Beeswax, and Mineral Oil to bo finish, condition, restore, and protect your boards. We recommend reapplying anytime your board feels dry or you notice water is not beading off the board. You can reuse your 220 grit sandpaper if you’d like prior to reapplying.

If you run out, you can purchase our Board Refinishing Kit.

  • This applicator pad will help your buff the board butter into the wood and also take off some of the excess wax that may not have worked its way into the wood.

Tips for Building Your Board

  • Reapply

Reapply Board Butter whenever your board feels dry or with regular use after 3-4 months. You can purchase another tin through us if you run out.

  • Level

If board is a little uneven, you can add a washer at the high point in between the screw and board to help level. This is completely normal with wood.

  • Wash

Always wash with mild soap immediately after use and towel dry and use Vinegar to remove unwanted odors in your board.

  • Restore

To restore your board, sand the surface with your 220 Grit Sandpaper and reapply board butter.
