Our Onoko Cutting Board features locally sourced black walnut with thin stripes of maple separating the beautiful and exotic Purple Heart in the center of the board. The rich dark color of the black walnut contrasting the bright white maple and vibrant Purple Heart wood makes the board really pop!

Has a Routed Juice Groove

About Purple Heart Wood
Purple Heart, sometimes referred to as amaranth, is native to Central to South America. It is about twice as hard as Maple and is very dense. When first cut, it can be a bit dull and brown. After being exposed to UV rays and heat, it brightens up to a beautiful purple. While this purple doesn’t last forever, we do our best to heat the Purple Heart through to give it more life than typical. You can usually bring it back by setting it outside in the sunlight for a couple hours when it is not raining or too humid.
