About Black Cherry Wood
Black Cherry, native to north eastern United States, is a beautiful pinkish hue when first cut, but darkens to a deeper red over time. It can have a light sapwood. It’s tight grain pattern gives it a nice natural luster. Because of this, it is extremely durable and great for cutting on as it requires very minimal maintenance. While this particular tree does spawn edible cherries, it is mainly harvested for its beautiful and durable lumber.
